I have 35 years of clinical experience in the field of mental health and have been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker since 1992. I have worked in agencies serving individual adults and children, couples and families and trained as a staff therapist in several post-graduate programs which served individual adults and couples, providing psychodynamic psychotherapy. Through this work and training I have been exposed to a range of theoretical perspectives. I have been drawn to, and most influenced by, theories which see the relationship with significant others as powerful in influencing the sense of self. I draw heavily from Relational theory, Inter-subjectivity, Self Psychology and Attachment theory to guide me in my work as a therapist.
